About

I am a second year PhD student in the History department at Tel Aviv University, Israel.
My PhD dissertation focuses on the Altiplano region in early 20th century  and deals with the way modernization and the introduction of new elements  influences religious beliefs and changes the perception of "self" and "Other".  In this context I am interested, for example, in the missionary work of the Seventh day Adventist missionaries in the Puno region.  On another level, I am also interested in theoretical questions regarding historical writing and interpretation.
