About
I have just published a book applying Network Theory to the question of how did Greek civilization emerge during the Archaic period when Greeks were actually distancing themselves from each other. How did civilizational convergence accompany settlement divergence? See A Small Greek World (2011) in "books." http://www.oup.com/us/authorflyer/asmallgreekworld
This follows my interest in relgion and colonization, the use of myth as mediator between political communities and lands, ethnicity and collective identity, and Mediterranean history and historiography.
In 1986 I co-founded and am still co-editor of the Mediterranean Historical Review (http://www.tandf.co.uk/journals/titles/09518967.asp)
