About
I am currently researching the history of environmental law in Mandate Palestine as well as the history of water law in the British Empire from the mid-nineteenth century. I recently spent time working with the papers of the Judicial Council of the Privy Council, as part of a research group headed by Nandini Chatterjee (Plymouth) and Charlotte Smith (Reading).
A spinoff from these projects is a paper I'm writing on the history of the Society of Comparative Legislation.
My dissertation was on the development of property rights in water in Colorado in the late nineteenth century - the book is in what I hope are the final stages.
I also do some writing (in Hebrew) on Israeli environmental law. I recently published an article on the applicability of Israel's Clean Air Law to greenhouse gas emissions, and have another forthcoming on BAT and cost-benefit analysis under the law.
